tricky timing

I've got pictures and a movie to post tomorrow, but I ran out to time today. I've got to catch the last truck up to San Juan or else I'm stuck in Bamba for the night.

This is my address in Cajamarca. The Serpost is in Chota which is about 1 hour away from me. I go in to Chota once or twice a month. I have been warned that packages that are not in padded envelopes will absolutely not make it through customs. I consider myself to be a fair to good pen pal- and I'm sure I will improve with practice.

The Peace Corps office staff recently suggested that if someone is sending a box/package in the mail it would be better to send it to the Lima office. Then the Peace Corps Lima office will send it up to my post office, thus by-passing the worst of the customs authorities.
